Strawberries and Champagne Shortcakes recipe
Who could ever resist strawberries and champagne? Here the timeless combination takes on dessert in the form of a shortcake. Use easy-bake biscuits and prepared whipped cream for an amazing summer dessert ready in a snap.
Ingredients:
1 can ready-bake refrigerated biscuits
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup champagne
½ cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups strawberries, roughly chopped
1 cup whipped cream
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Arrange the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with butter, and sprinkle with sugar. Bake according to package directions.
Meanwhile, prepare the Combine champagne, honey, and vanilla in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until honey dissolves, 2 to 3 minutes, stirring. Remove from heat and toss with strawberries in a large bowl.
Cut the biscuits in half, top with a small serving of the strawberry mixture and a dollop of whipped cream. Replace other half biscuit on top and finish with a small drizzle of strawberries.
