Strawberry Orange Fool recipe
Traditionally an old English recipe for fruit custard, the fool is a no-fuss recipe that works great as a snack or dessert. Here, fresh strawberries and orange juice create a naturally sweet treat that will be gobbled up in just a few spoonfuls.
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped, plus a few whole for serving
¾ cup cold whipping cream
¼ cup sugar
1/3 cup plain whole yogurt
¼ cup fresh orange juice
Directions:
1) Place chopped strawberries in a medium bowl and mash lightly with a fork. Set aside.
2) In a large bowl, beat cream and sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in yogurt, juice, and reserved mashed strawberries. Divide among glasses and serve topped with a fresh strawberry.
