Strawberry-Vanilla Granitas recipe
A granita is a traditional Italian dessert made from partially frozen sugar, fruits, and other flavorings. Here, vanilla yogurt and strawberries are mashed together and partially frozen, creating a summer snack that’s not quite ice cream, not quite frozen yogurt, but something spectacular all of its own.
Ingredients:
4 cups strawberries
2 cups vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in food processor and pulse lightly until just mashed but not pureed. Transfer to a large baking sheet, spread evenly, and freeze 30 minutes.
Remove from freezer, remash and redistribute, and freeze another 30 minutes.
Remove and serve.
